The Challenge (Customer Need)

A long bright hallway with 3m tall ceilings in the apartment of a redeveloped building in a German capital featured a corner of about 1,5 square meter of “lost space”. Standing wardrobes looked lost in the otherwise spacious and stylish hallway. But with the apartment’s fuse box and the building’s main wiring behind the drywall on the right side and the access door to the floor heating system and the building’s rising main pipes on the right it seemed impossible to make good use of the corner. And moving the required wardrobe somewhere else in the hallway proved to be almost an insult to the otherwise pleasing optics and feeling of spaciousness.
